The most vivid memory I have is of my mother, after school each day, holding a paper umbrella, quietly waiting for me at the alley entrance… However, the war reached my hometown, and my mother, relatives, and I were forced to flee south. On the way, my mother fell ill. She told me to take her paper umbrella and continue south with our relatives, and I tearfully bid her farewell…
