This book is the memoir of Salvatore, a giant of Latin American literature.
Written in his twilight years, this short book by Salvatore, though a memoir, doesn't fully capture his journey from brilliant physicist to giant of Latin American literature. Rather, it serves as a guide to the younger generation. We can savor the intellectual vein of a true humanist—the difficulty of grappling with philosophical questions like "existence," and his genuine and profound sympathy for the suffering of the masses. Despite revealing much suffering, Salvatore's tone is impassioned. He hopes that no matter how desperate our circumstances, we can take action and, alongside those who share our open arms, await the new wave of history.

I continue to write this testimony, postscript, spiritual testament, or whatever you want to call it. I write it for the young men and women who have lost their way.
