A young Miao man named A Zhuang received a beautiful portrait. One day, the girl in the painting, A Cai, emerged from the painting. Kind-hearted A Cai helped a hunter, who was being harassed by the emperor, catch a cuckoo. However, the greedy emperor, wanting more cuckoos and taking a fancy to A Cai, tried every possible way to make things difficult for A Zhuang and A Cai. Finally, A Cai, using her wisdom and unparalleled skill, wove a bird-feathered robe and drove the emperor away. From then on, they lived a happy and peaceful life.
This story is full of the spirit of loving life and embracing life tightly, allowing us to see the power of love and kindness, and the ingenuity and creativity of Miao folk art.
