Tooth Hunter

Through the dream of a young boy, The Tooth Hunter reveals the real plight of elephants, making it a thought-provoking ecological picture book. On the vast savannah, tooth hunters use telescopes to search for prey—humans. Once a target is spotted, the tooth hunters fire tranquilizer darts. After the prey is hit, they open the human's mouth and use tools to extract their teeth... These teeth are then taken to a trading market, where elephant merchants queue up with money to buy them. Once the human teeth are bought, they are made into various ornaments: walking sticks, pipes, statues... This book calls on people to maintain reverence for nature and life, to realize that other living beings, just like humans, live equally on Earth.
