Nocturno de Chile

The protagonist, Sebastien Urrutia Lacroix, a priest, literary critic, member of Opus Dei, and a mediocre poet, is driven by a high fever, convinced that he is about to die, and in a single night he recounts the most significant moments of his life, though in reality, as the night progresses, his fever subsides and his delirious ramblings are relieved by the appearance of some cold characters.
