About Book

*Cai Gao's Picture Book World: Sun-drying the Dragon Robe on June 6th* tells the story of Tan Hou, who had three golden dragons on his body, being killed by the emperor for protecting the Tujia people. Suddenly, the sky turned dark, and the sun and moon lost their light. The terrified emperor fell to the ground and prayed to heaven for Tan Hou to be emperor for seven days each year. The Tujia people retrieved Tan Hou's blood-stained battle robe, washed and dried it, and built a temple for worship. This tradition was passed down through generations, becoming an important festival. The June 6th festival is also known as "Sun-drying the Dragon Robe."
