Author Profile: Xixi is the pen name of Zhang Yan, a native of Zhongshan, Guangdong. He was born in Shanghai in 1938. He graduated from the Grantham College of Education in Hong Kong. He has worked as a teacher and is now a dedicated literary writer and researcher. He is a member of the Suye Literature group. He has written over 20 books, including poetry, essays, and novels, including the novels Whistle Deer and Flying Felt.
