"The Paris Review: Short Story Class" is a collection of short story reviews, all of which are from the famous American literary magazine "The Paris Review".

Jiujiu Readers launched The Paris Review's renowned "Writer Interview" series several years ago. Beyond interviews, The Paris Review itself is a leading international literary powerhouse, consistently publishing the world's finest short stories. Since its founding in 1953, it has amassed hundreds of exquisite works of literary art. In 2012, Lorraine Stein, then editor-in-chief of The Paris Review, invited twenty leading contemporary short story writers to select a short story published in the magazine and write a short review based on their preferences and aesthetics. Lorraine and Sadie Stein then published these selected stories and their short reviews together in a collection.

The twenty short stories collected in this book are all different, with great differences in style and length, and the publication time span is almost as long as the history of the magazine. But there is no doubt that they are all of extremely high quality, reflecting the highest level and trend of contemporary short story writing from all aspects.

The reviews of these twenty novels each have their own purpose. Some offer a concise and macro overview of the stylistic features of the entire work, while others examine the text's sentences and wording in great detail. In short, examining another author's work from their perspective is a professional perspective that will surely benefit readers greatly.
