The name "Lonely Country" may be derived from the Buddhist text "Diamond Sutra," implying a compassionate and Buddha-oriented heart. He remained consistent throughout his journey, worthy of the title of poet-monk. Just as his noble character, profound cultivation, calm demeanor, and detached integrity have earned him the unanimous admiration and love of his fellow poets and writers, so too is his "Lonely Country" truly not loneliness. Instead, he explores the spirit of solitude, representing the eternal existence within, examining one's relationship with the outside world one by one. Solemnity, sacredness, coldness, disillusionment, the distortions of time, and the ever-present shadow of death all crystallize into the creative style of "Lonely Country" and Zhou Mengdie's future works.

This book is Zhou Mengdie's first poetry collection, which includes 57 poems, including "Give in," "Asking for," "Prayer," "Mist," "Crow," "Evening Rainbow," "Mistake," "Lonely Country," "On the Road," and "Traveler's Diary."
