Being neighbors with sparrows

There was a crack in the exterior wall above my window. One day, a pair of sparrows came here to build a nest and soon had a brood of baby sparrows. To feed the chicks, the sparrow parents made over 100 foraging trips each day, until the little sparrows learned to fly, one by one leaving the nest to start their independent lives. The sparrows' life was busy but free, and that warm scene was deeply imprinted in my heart.
