"Twelve Towers," also known as "Famous Sayings to Awaken the World," is a collection of short stories. It contains 12 stories, all named after towers. Each story has a different number of chapters, and the order of arrangement varies from volume to volume. Most of the stories focus on the love and marriage of talented men and beautiful women, but they also touch on aspects of everyday life, recounting notes from previous generations, recording the authors' experiences, narrating historical stories, and even fabricating stories to depict the world and human nature.
