About Book

A battle for memory in 2020, a book that records the reality of the present.
The accumulation and subsequent eruption of a series of social and environmental crises have repeatedly highlighted the unique nature of 2020. From the beginning of the year to its end, "Dan Du" launched a widespread call for submissions from authors, partners, and readers around the world, gathering accounts of the year. Ultimately, 24 sets of documentary works from 34 creators in 18 countries were collected. "Dan Du 25: The Battle for Memory" breaks with the previous genre-based categorization, using the three key words "world, self, and neighborhood" as a thread, allowing poetry to become another thread of introductory, tectonic shifts. The cover further innovates, using collage and overlapping to express the chaos of memory. The experiment of publishing a main book with a supplementary volume will be a new direction for "Dan Du" in the future.
In today's world where evasion and indifference are rampant, continuous recording and reflection are our response.
