The Story: From Eyesore to Art
On March 17, we received a familiar notice from the city: a violation for graffiti on our storefront gate. For the second time, we are facing a potential penalty of $1,000 per day if the gate isn't cleared within 30 days.
3月17日，我们收到了熟悉的城市违规通知：店门铁闸因涂鸦被罚。这是我们第二次收到此类警告——若30天内未能清理干净，每天将面临1,000美元的潜在罚款。

Last time, it took multiple nights and a dedicated team of friends to scrub the metal, yet the faded outlines of the past remain. We believe that simply washing away the unwanted isn't enough. It is tedious, temporary, and—frankly—meaningless.

We want to be proactive. We want to create. Instead of just cleaning, we are choosing to elevate our street by installing a professional mural. We want to transform a target for vandalism into a canvas for beauty that reflects our community’s spirit.
我们想要主动出击，我们想要去创造。 与其被动地清理，我们选择通过画一幅专业的壁画来提升街道的生命力。我们希望将这个原本遭受破坏的目标，转化为一幅展现华埠社区精神的美丽画布。

The Collaboration
We are thrilled to team up with the artists from Non Alien Box. Known for their incredible work in Ross Alley, they bring a deep understanding of our neighborhood's visual language. Together, we are going to turn a cold metal gate into a permanent piece of public art.

The Goal
We are looking to raise $1,000 to cover the baseline costs of high-quality materials and the artist's commission.
The more we raise beyond this goal, the more we can directly support our artists for their labor and vision.
