This book is a selection of Li Zhangbin's critical writings from the past decade. Focusing primarily on the linguistic and historical consciousness of modern and contemporary Chinese poets, it offers a detailed analysis of key figures in this genre, including Mu Dan, Duo Duo, Haizi, Zhang Zao, and Zhu Zhu, exploring the origins, dynamics, and historical connections of their linguistic awareness and poetic concepts. The book pays particular attention to the "linguistic centrism" of avant-garde poetry, analyzing its inherent egocentrism and the ethical dilemmas of writing, and exploring several avenues for transcending this "myth of language." This book attempts to grasp the complex and intricate linguistic details of contemporary new poetry, including voice and rhetoric, and explores and envisions a new kind of "voice-emotion criticism" and "linguistic criticism" of new poetry, pioneering a critical approach that transforms contemporary poetry criticism from the abstract to the concrete and, at the same time, integrates the abstract and the concrete.
