About Book

Through the words of fisherman writers, you can encounter the people, events and true feelings at sea.
When we think of the sea, we often picture the vast beauty of the azure sea and the clear blue sky, where the sea and sky merge into one. However, for sea dwellers, the ocean is where they live. They stand on the brink of life, fighting against the ocean. Unlike land-based cultures, the language of the sea doesn't speak of the beauty of the sea; instead, they say that sea dwellers must have a sea dweller's fate. It's a bond of destiny.
Reading "The Seafarer" is like stepping into another world. Through the words of fisherman and writer Liao Hongji, you encounter the people, events, and true feelings of the sea.
