Through my own narration, the novel depicts the magnificent, heroic, and tragic stories of my ancestors in Northeast Gaomi Township during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. While they bravely fought against the brutal Japanese invaders, they also engaged in epic and moving love stories. The novel also reveals the conflicts that arise when human emotions are oppressed by secular rules.
