About Book
About Book
This issue of "Single Reading" focuses on local non-fiction creation. The "Documentary" column publishes three award-winning works of the "Presence Non-fiction Writing Scholarship", which are about girls who fall in love with artificial intelligence chat robots, field experiences of breeding Tibetan mastiffs in Lhasa, and the many challenges faced by pastoral veterinarians in the "stagnation" of animal husbandry. Through interaction with "others", they reflect on people living in modernity.
This collection also includes poetry by Liao Weitang, Wang Pu, Chun Shu, and Xu Zhenyu. These writers, scattered across the globe, write about the helpless separations and inescapable crises of the past few years, as well as their attempts to mend and rebuild new lives. Also included are Shi Difu's images and essays by Tang Keyang and Ou Ning. The former returns from the city to the wilderness of Xinjiang, while the latter rewrites the meaning of the city and its imagination.
