"Real Life" is a collection of 54 poems by Zagajewski, published in Poland in 2019. With keen insight and restrained voice, the poet casts his gaze into the past, capturing on paper the fluid landscape of city streets and the steady trajectory of time. Zagajewski chooses to immerse himself in history, both near and far, and through a personal historical imagination, infuses it with lyrical moments to understand the present.
