Following "I Deliver Express in Beijing", Hu An'an turns his attention to daily life outside of work and his inner world. He recounts the influence of his childhood and family of origin on the formation of his personality, telling how an ordinary person, in the middle of life, chose to use writing instead of speaking, meticulously, vividly, and specifically sorting out the bumps and tribulations along the way from multiple levels such as circumstances, concepts, character, and text. What gradually emerged from this was a rich, self-sufficient, and peaceful spiritual home.
