Real moments of life on the road, all kinds of life inside and outside the car...
※Editor's Recommendation※
☆ From the perspective of human nature, it presents the living conditions and mental state of people in the special space of train.
☆ Recording the characteristics of the 1990s: mobile phones, permed hair, T-shirts with photos of movie stars, portable TVs, etc., evoking unforgettable memories.
☆ The photographer looks for fun in the chaos and uses humor to relieve the pressure of reality. A look or a small gesture may seem ordinary, but in fact it is unforgettable.

※Introduction※
Wang Fuchun traveled thousands of times by train, covering over 100,000 kilometers and taking over 10,000 negatives. "Chinese on Trains" features 114 of these images, including 37 never before seen in albums. These black-and-white documentary photographs capture authentic moments of Chinese travel life in the 1990s. Some scenes seem unimaginable today: playing mahjong, doing group radio gymnastics, bringing pets on trains; others seem timeless: children crying at farewell, hawkers hawking on the platform, couples glancing at each other, the cramped confines of train carriages... People from all corners of the world quickly become acquainted, their lives temporarily intertwined. The rich images reveal a long-lost, intense interpersonal connection, showcasing a China on the move.

※Recommended by celebrities※
"Chinese on the Train" presents a microcosm of society in flux, a vivid portrayal of social and historical development. It can be said that he uses a third eye to see society and life. Precisely because of its vividness, authenticity, and even accuracy, it not only captivates readers, evokes appreciation and resonance, but also possesses indisputable historical value.
—Yang Shaoming, President of the World Chinese Photographic Society. Wang Fuchun's life has been full of hardships, but when these hardships are reflected in his images, they crystallize into warmth and humor. This is a personality trait and image quality that is truly worthy of respect. Because of this quality, his photography stands out in Chinese documentary photography and is truly intriguing.
