Didi, an employee at a microscope company, a "person difficult not to like, whom even disaster would steer clear of," a divorced man who once attempted suicide, kills a railway worker in a tunnel during a business trip. Everything happens so secretly and calmly that he cannot confirm the reality of the event. In the swaying train car, he falls in love with a blind woman for solace. From then on, he battles his inner demons, trying to escape the truth.
