Tui Na

"Massage," a novel that won the Mao Dun Literature Prize, is one of the few literary works in China that focuses on the blind community. This novel reveals the private and real personal world of blind massage therapists in real life, showing another kind of joy and sorrow in the lives of the blind, a group that people rarely understand. What is particularly emphasized in the novel is that, just like sighted people, people with disabilities and blind people have the same loves, hates, joys, and sorrows, and a spiritual world that equally deserves respect and attention. The significance of the novel lies in writing about the happiness, sadness, love, desire, and fantasies of people with disabilities, breaking the emotional cage of our understanding of people with disabilities.
