My Picun Brothers and Sisters

"My Pi Village Brothers and Sisters" is a nonfiction work that offers a panoramic portrayal of the life stories of the members of the Pi Village Literary Group. It is a holistic account of contemporary labor literature and new worker literature. Each character, illuminated by literature, finds their own unique light of life amidst their own difficulties, like the salt of the earth. Author Yuan Ling is a renowned writer, investigative journalist, and volunteer at the Pi Village Literary House. He spent seven years in Pi Village, visiting numerous times and deeply understanding the transformations of over a dozen workers from laborers to literary creators, before completing this book.

In September 2014, the "Picun Literary Group" was officially established. The founder is volunteer Fu Qiuyun, and scholars and writers such as Liu Chen, Zhang Huiyu, Shi Libin, Meng Dengying, and Yuan Ling serve as volunteers.
From 2012 to 2017 Spring Festival, the "Workers' Home" in Pi Village held the "Workers' Spring Festival Gala" for several consecutive years, with Wang Dezhi and Xuanyu serving as directors.
In 2015, the first collection of works by the Picun Literary Group, "Picun Literature", was published, followed by several more collections.
In the spring of 2015, poet Chen Nianxi volunteered at the Pi Village Workers' Home, remaining there until the end of the year. During this time, he wrote numerous poems about Pi Village and its workers, earning him the inaugural Poet Laureate Award.
In 2016, the first “Poems and Songs of Workers” Gala was held.
On April 25, 2017, the article "I am Fan Yusu" was published on the "Noon Story" public account and quickly became popular on WeChat Moments, reaching four million reads within three days. The Picun Literary Group also became famous because of it.
In 2018, the first "Workers' Literature Award" was held.
On May 1, 2019, the first issue of "New Workers' Literature" (electronic bimonthly) was released.
In 2022, the collective work of the Picun Literary Group, "Workers' Stars", was published and won the 8th "One Way Street Bookstore Literature Award".
In 2023, Fan Yusu's novel "Long-Awaited Reunion" was published, which received widespread attention from society and the literary circles.
In 2024, the Picun Literary Group celebrates its 10th anniversary.
