In fact, Blanchot's literary theory is difficult to understand because of its unique theoretical approach, based on a unique theory of thanatology as its fundamental foundation. Whether in his literary criticism or his experimental novels (such as In the Right Moment), Blanchot interprets them within a unique "death space" he has constructed. This unique existential field, formed by interpreting "death" at an ontological (not biological) level, has given rise to other concepts such as "poetic space" and "literary space." In other words, all of Blanchot's artistic concepts are based on an exploration of the ontological concept of "death"...
