Synopsis:
Mikage Sakurai’s parents died young, and after her grandmother, with whom she had always lived, passed away, she truly became alone. In despair, Yuichi Tanabe, a schoolmate whom her grandmother had warmly looked after, enthusiastically invited Mikage to live with him. Yuichi’s mother, Eriko, had a special identity, having transitioned from father to mother and taking on both roles. Mikage found a sense of belonging in this peculiar family and settled in. Through her interactions with Yuichi and his mother, Mikage slowly opened her heart, let go of her ex-boyfriend, and accepted the reality of her grandmother’s death. Her inner self was reborn, and she began to live independently again.
After Eriko was murdered by a customer, Mikage rushed to comfort Yuichi. The two, neither relatives nor lovers, began to live together. Yuichi’s confession was not immediately accepted. Their relationship, misunderstood by the world, was accused by Okuno, who had a crush on Yuichi, who came to verbally abuse Mikage. Mikage temporarily left Yuichi for a business trip, and Yuichi painfully chose to temporarily escape.
During a business trip to Izu, she accidentally tasted an incredibly delicious katsudon and took a taxi all night to reach Yuichi’s location…
