Hundred: What You Learn in a Lifetime
From 0 to 100, the important life lessons are all in these small daily matters.◎ Editor's Recommendations
★ A "life preview" that everyone from 0 to 100 can understand, revealing the journey and wisdom of a lifetime, bringing tears to one's eyes.
☆ A globally popular "healing adult picture book" that helps the heart return to simplicity. There is no "life you should live," only "the life you want to live."
◆ No matter what stage you are currently in, there is a sentence in this book that resonates with your current state of being.
◇ The insights in the book are all derived from real life.
The author personally interviewed people of various ages, social statuses, and nationalities. She only asked them one question: "What has life taught you?" She compiled their thoughts and feelings into this story from 0 to 100 years old.
● One year, one picture, one sentence.
The insights for each age are expressed with just one picture and one sentence. Presenting life philosophy in a picture book format provides readers with more room for interpretation and reflection, making it easier to resonate and allowing readers to integrate their own stories.
○ Pure hand-drawn illustrations by the winner of The New York Times Best Illustrated Children's Book Award, the Portugal Picture Book Illustration Award, the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava Award, and the CJ Picture Book Award (Korea). Created with mixed media such as pastels and crayons, the tender brushstrokes resemble those of a child, highlighting the purity of birth and the wisdom of old age.

◎ Content Summary
The creation of this book originated from a gift. Author Heike Faller, an editor at Germany's Die Zeit, had a sudden inspiration when she saw her adorable newborn niece: to write a unique book that would show her niece the life she was about to face. She invited the multi-award-winning illustrator Valerio Vidali to collaborate, and she personally interviewed people of various ages, social statuses, and nationalities, compiling their stories into this book from 0 to 100 years old. She only asked them one question: "What has life taught you?"
After the interviews, she surprisingly found that many people from very different backgrounds shared some similar understandings of the world at different stages of life, such as:
At 19, you often dislike yourself.
At 36, you discover reality is far from imagination.
At 43, you learn to live for yourself.
At 51, you accept your parents as they are.
At 75, you learn to forget.
At 80, you feel life is finite and cherish the present even more.
At 92, you accept the fact that everyone will eventually die.
Year by year, page by page, you will follow the timeline of a lifetime, experiencing the small things that each of us may encounter. We believe that no matter what stage of life you are in, there is a sentence in this book that will resonate with your current state of being. Which year of your life have you reached?
