Chinese Clothing: Clothes from the Song Dynasty, Weather of the Song Dynasty

Attempt to explore and understand the specific appearance and combinations of fashionable attire of beauties at the time, based on poetry, ci, and anecdotal novels from various Song dynasty authors as the core textual clues, cross-referenced with excavated artifacts. This will be divided into three chapters: clothing worn (garments), caps, combs, hairpins, and bracelets (accessories), and grooming and dressing (makeup and hairstyles). Familiar historical figures will be selected, such as Lady Huarui, Li Qingzhao, Li Shishi, Madam White Snake, Xiaoqing, Yan Rui... Based on existing archaeological findings, appropriate inferences will be made to design the probable attire of each character at the time, with clothing, accessories, hairstyles, makeup, and scenes all supported by evidence.
An attached one-meter long scroll will summarize the dressing order and makeup steps of Song dynasty women, as well as the fashion changes over the three hundred years of the Song dynasty. A set of clothing stickers will be included, designed and produced based on excavated clothing artifacts from the Tieguai Song Tomb and Chayuan Mountain Song Tomb in Nanling, Anhui, showcasing classic Northern Song and Southern Song outfits.
