An exhibition can become a novel, creating a fictional situation in real space; a novel can also become an exhibition on paper, weaving fictional elements into real life.
Like collecting objects for a vast and complex museum, btr observes, imagines, and wanders through his novels, and in those moments of enlightenment, he slips lightly and cunningly into another space. Art intervenes between people and the world. A historian from the year 2060 traveled back to Shanghai in 2021 and saw a few clouds above his head silently transforming into words, which then gathered into a sentence: "You will not be afraid of the horrors of the night."
