They are active actors crossing borders, calculating the pros and cons, making choices, and boldly taking action under extremely limited circumstances. However, in a foreign land, surrounded by shadowy environments, a closed labor environment, unstable residency status, limited social networks, and the inability to freely change employers—all structural factors—become unpredictable man-made traps on their journey.
